A woman has died in the Tashkent region after being beaten by her husband.

In this regard, the initiated case has been reclassified under Article 126 (1) part 8 paragraph "g" of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (domestic violence resulting in the victim's death). The suspect now faces a sentence of 10 to 12 years.

It was previously reported that in the Akkurgan district, a 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of beating his wife. The incident occurred on January 16, during a domestic dispute between the spouses, during which the man inflicted bodily harm on his wife. The victim sought medical attention at a healthcare facility in the Chinaz district.
