The Committee for the Development of the Silk and Wool Industry will be dissolved in Uzbekistan. The decree for the committee's liquidation was signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The Ministry of Agriculture, along with the association "Uzbekipaksanoat," will take on the tasks of silkworm cultivation and the development of sericulture.
The Research Institute of Karakul Breeding and Desert Ecology, as well as the Bukhara Center for Desert Plant Seed Production, will be transferred to the system of the Committee for Veterinary Medicine.
As for the institutes focused on sericulture and natural fibers, they will be handed over to the Ministry of Agriculture.
