A new Minister for Emergency Situations has been appointed in Uzbekistan.

Abdulla Kuldashev has stepped down from his position as head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. He has been succeeded by Botir Kudratkhodjaev, the former director of the Bureau of Public Investigation and military prosecutor.
В Узбекистане назначили нового министра по чрезвычайным ситуациям.

Botir Bakhramovich Kudratkhodjaev has been appointed as the Minister of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan. The relevant decree was signed by the president.

In connection with this, Kudratkhodjaev has been relieved of his duties as Deputy Attorney General – Military Prosecutor of the country.

Previously, his candidacy was approved by the deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis.

Before this, Kudratkhodjaev served as the acting prosecutor of the Surkhandarya region, then became the regional prosecutor (2014–2016), and later held the position of prosecutor of Tashkent (2016–2017). From June 2017 to October 2020, he headed the Bureau of Enforcement.

In 2020, he was appointed prosecutor of the Khorezm region, and in November 2022 – Deputy Attorney General - Military Prosecutor.

For reference: The Ministry of Emergency Situations was headed by Abdulla Kuldashev since March 2022. The reasons for his departure have not yet been disclosed.
