Uzbekistan plans to increase salaries for employees of local authorities.

In Uzbekistan, there are plans to increase salaries for employees of the hokimiyats. This initiative has been formalized in a decree signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
В Узбекистане планируется увеличение заработной платы для сотрудников хокимиятов.

The Ministry of Economy and Finance has been tasked with submitting a draft presidential decree within two months regarding the increase in salaries and material incentives for employees of the Council of Ministers of Karakalpakstan, regional hokimiyats, Tashkent, districts, and cities.

The decree also introduces changes to the standard structure of the management apparatus of regional hokimiyats. The maximum number of managerial staff will remain the same - 61-70 units per hokimiyat, with a total managerial personnel count of 763 units. Additionally, increasing the managerial staff at the expense of budgetary and extrabudgetary funds of regional hokimiyats is prohibited.

In Kashkadarya and Tashkent regions, the position of first deputy hokim will be established. Some hokimiyats will have sectors dedicated to strengthening international cooperation with China and attracting investments, as well as positions for advisors on agriculture and digitalization, and a protocol department.

The Agency for the Development of State Service, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and the Ministry of Justice have been instructed, in collaboration with the relevant departments, to implement the practice of assessing the activities of local hokimiyats on the platform samaradorlik.uz. The assessment will be conducted based on 10 key areas related to the development and implementation of socio-economic development programs for the regions.
