In Uzbekistan, nearly 1,300 pharmacies have been found to be overcharging for medications, according to the Committee for the Development of Competition and Consumer Rights Protection.

As a result of the analysis conducted, 270,000 cases of unjustified income were identified, amounting to a total of 11.6 billion sums. The committee has taken measures to return the excess funds to consumers.

The highest number of pharmacies with inflated prices was found in Tashkent (228). Following the capital is the Samarkand region (182), and rounding out the top three is Tashkent region (134).
