Uzbekistan will increase ticket prices for high-speed trains.

Starting from February 1 of this year, Uzbekistan plans to increase the ticket prices for high-speed and fast trains, according to a statement from the press service of "Uzbekiston Temir Yullari."
В Узбекистане ожидается повышение цен на услуги высокоскоростных поездов.

Ticket prices for VIP and business class on the high-speed Afrosiyob trains will increase by 25%, while economy class tickets will rise by 20%. Additionally, prices for tickets on the fast passenger trains "Shark," "Nasaf," and "Uzbekistan" will go up by 30%.

For instance, the cost of a VIP ticket for the Tashkent - Bukhara route on the Afrosiyob train will be 994,000 sums, while the economy class ticket will be 484,000 sums.

Uzbekistan Railways announced that the price hike is due to the abandonment of state regulation on passenger transport services starting January 1, 2024.

"This price increase will enhance the quality of passenger service and align railway stations and trains with modern standards," the company promises.

Previously, Kun.uz reported that a new train will be launched on the "Tashkent–Bukhara–Tashkent" route.
