Uzbekistan has adjusted the excise tax rates on tobacco and alcoholic products.

Starting January 1, 2025, Uzbekistan will adjust the excise tax rates on tobacco and alcoholic products.

For alcoholic beverages such as vodka, cognac, and other drinks, the excise tax will be set at 76,000 sums per liter for imports and 44,000 sums per liter for production starting January 1, 2025.

The tax on natural wines will be 14,000 sums per liter for imports and 5,000 sums per liter for production. Meanwhile, for other wines, the excise will amount to 20,000 sums per liter for imports and 6,000 sums per liter for production.

Regarding beer, from January 1, 2025, the excise tax for imported products will be 20,000 sums per liter, while for local producers, the rate will be 2,000 sums per liter.

Additionally, new excise tax rates have been introduced for cigarettes, cigarillos, bidis, and kreteks. For local producers, the rate will be 300,000 sums per 1,000 pieces, and for imported goods, it will be 330,000 sums per 1,000 pieces. Starting July 1, 2025, this rate will increase to 340,000 sums per 1,000 pieces for both local and imported products.

The excise on cigars will be set at 20,000 sums per piece. New rates have also been established for hookah tobacco and smoking tobacco at 600,000 sums per kilogram, while for chewing, snuff, and sucking tobacco, it will be 382,000 sums per kilogram.

For heated tobacco products, the excise tax will be 450,000 sums per kilogram, and for snus, it will be 154,000 sums per kilogram.
