The government has approved the procedure for the certification of products and services in accordance with "Halal" requirements, as well as the rules for their periodic evaluation.

The resolution has endorsed the following proposals from the Uzbekistan Agency for Technical Regulation and the Committee on Religious Affairs:

The Agency for Technical Regulation, in collaboration with the Committee on Religious Affairs, will accredit the certification body according to international standards within six months.

A draft standard defining the shape and size of the "Halal" mark will also be developed and approved.

The resolution will come into effect three months after its official publication.
