The Ministry of Economy and Finance, in collaboration with the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade, will develop a procedure for collecting disposal fees and effectively utilizing these funds within two months.

The resolution aims to expand the use of "green" technologies, ensure environmentally safe disposal of decommissioned electric vehicle batteries, and accelerate localization processes in this sector.

Plans to introduce a disposal fee for electric vehicle batteries in Uzbekistan were announced in October of last year.
