From January to November 2024, Uzbekistan registered 72,900 new small enterprises, excluding farms and dehkan (household) farms, according to the Statistical Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In comparison, during the same period in 2023, there were 81 thousand small enterprises registered. The most popular sectors for small businesses last year also included trade, industry, and agriculture.
By the end of November 2024, the total number of active small enterprises in Uzbekistan reached 400.9 thousand (excluding farms and dekhkan households), with 38% of them operating in the trade sector.
