Graduates from classes where Uzbek is not the language of instruction will also take an exam in the state language.

The procedure for the final state certification of students in the 9th and 11th grades has been changed.

According to the order of the Minister of Preschool and School Education, the list of subjects and forms of final certification has been approved, along with a list of national and international certificates confirming knowledge of general education subjects and foreign languages.

Exams for 9th grades are conducted in the following subjects:

• Native language and literature (for classes taught in Uzbek) – written;

• State language (for classes with a non-Uzbek language of instruction) – written;

• Mathematics – written;

• History of Uzbekistan – written/oral;

• Physical education – in practical form.

The following exams are provided for 11th grades:

• Native language and literature (for classes taught in Uzbek) – written;

• State language (for classes with a non-Uzbek language of instruction) – written;

• Mathematics (basic/advanced level) – written;

• History – written.

Additionally, at the student's choice:

• Native language and literature (Karakalpak, Russian, Kazakh, Turkmen, Tajik, Kyrgyz), biology, physics, chemistry, fundamentals of state law, geography – written exam;

• Foreign language – written/oral exam.

Starting from 2025, graduates of 11th grades from general education schools with a non-Uzbek language of instruction will also be required to take the final exam in the state language.
