An exhibition showcasing Iranian innovative companies will take place in Tashkent.

The second exhibition of Iranian innovative companies operating in the technology and engineering sectors will take place from February 11 to 14 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, according to Iranian media reports.

According to the data from the Iranian Customs Administration (IRICA), in the last Iranian calendar year (which ended on March 19, 2024), Iranian innovative companies exported over 3.6 million tons of products valued at $2.5 billion.

As reported by IRICA, from March 21, 2023, to March 19, 2024, innovative companies also imported approximately 1.158 million tons of goods worth $5.14 billion into the country.

About 85% of the goods imported by innovative companies came from China, the UAE, Turkey, Germany, and India, according to the IRNA agency.

During the same period, Iranian innovative companies exported their products to China, Iraq, the UAE, Turkey, and Russia, IRICA specifies.

Innovative companies accounted for 2.6% of the total export volume of the country by weight and 5% by value during this period.

Approximately 80% of the export revenue from these companies came from advanced materials and products based on chemical technologies.
