The company Withings unveiled the prototype of the Omnia smart mirror at CES 2025, which is designed to enhance health monitoring capabilities. The gadget features 360-degree body scanning, allowing users to track metrics such as weight, heart condition, and lung health, reports TechCrunch.
In addition, the mirror can analyze sleep quality, physical activity levels, and the user's nutrition through a wearable device.
Omnia supports interactive control: users can engage with its functions via touch or voice commands. A key feature of the device is its ability to transmit body condition data to medical professionals, enabling doctors to analyze health metrics remotely and provide recommendations, thereby reducing the need for in-clinic visits.
However, currently, Omnia exists only as a concept, and no specific release date has been announced. The developers emphasize that, despite its extensive functionality, the device cannot replace comprehensive medical examinations. Nevertheless, the concept itself appears promising and could significantly simplify health monitoring in the future.
