A new express freight train connecting China and Uzbekistan has been launched.

On January 1, 2025, the first cargo train of the year departed from the international port of Xi'an in Shaanxi Province, China, heading to Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.
Запущен новый экспресс-грузовой поезд, который связывает Китай с Узбекистаном.

The train, consisting of 50 containers, transports various goods, including household appliances, textiles, and chemical products.

The train will cross the state border at the Khorgos checkpoint in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China and continue its journey through Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan.

Thanks to the collaboration between the Xi'an International Port "Chanba," the China Railway Corporation, and other relevant authorities, the delivery time for cargo on the new route has been reduced from 8-10 days to 5-6 days.

In 2024, the volume of freight transport from Xi'an to Central Asia increased by 49.8% compared to the previous year, reaching 69,655 standard containers.

The new route is expected to significantly enhance logistics and expedite the delivery of goods between China and Uzbekistan, fostering further economic ties between the countries.
