Starting in 2025, salaries for healthcare workers in Uzbekistan are set to increase.

The salaries of healthcare workers in Uzbekistan are set to increase starting next year. This announcement was made during a meeting with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

In 2025, 41 trillion sums will be allocated to the healthcare sector. These funds will be directed towards the establishment and equipping of new hospitals, expanding existing facilities, and increasing access to medical examinations.

The head of state emphasized that the primary objective in this area is to enhance the quality of medical care at the primary level.

Turkish experts have examined the operations of medical institutions and the healthcare services provided in six regions. Based on the findings, proposals for systemic reforms in the delivery of primary healthcare will be developed. Responsible officials have been tasked with analyzing this issue and preparing a draft solution for the transformation of the primary healthcare sector.

The program for the professional development of employees in this field will be improved. The plan is to gradually shift from theoretical knowledge and skills to the development of competencies.

In the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Navoi, Samarkand, Bukhara, Khorezm, and Kashkadarya regions, state medical insurance will be implemented. The centralized laboratory service will also be expanded.

A "Procurement Center" will be established along with its 13 regional branches, and the use of medical equipment will be monitored through an electronic system.

Additionally, 400 national clinical protocols covering 35 areas will be developed.

Seven specialized centers and two higher education institutions will undergo international accreditation.
