Bakhoidir Begalov, who has been in charge of the Statistics Agency under the President of Uzbekistan for nearly eight years, has been relieved of his position as director.

Official information regarding the resignation has not been disclosed. Currently, the agency's website states that the director position is vacant.
From 2012 to 2016, he served as the deputy chairman of the State Committee on Statistics.
It is worth noting that the State Committee on Statistics was transformed into the Statistics Agency due to administrative changes at the end of 2022.
