National Guard personnel will be required to identify themselves to citizens.

According to the bill that has been approved in its first reading by the Legislative Chamber, National Guard personnel are required to identify themselves and explain to citizens their rights and responsibilities during interactions.

The requirement to identify oneself when interacting with citizens will now apply to the employees of the National Guard as well.

According to the Legislative Chamber, relevant amendments are being made to the Law "On the National Guard."

Under the new regulation, a serviceman or employee of the National Guard must introduce themselves when addressing a citizen, and also in cases where a citizen approaches them, they are required to clarify the rights and obligations of the citizen.

The bill was passed by the deputies in the first reading.

It is worth noting that the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan was established on August 4, 2017. The Law "On the National Guard," adopted on November 18, 2020, came into effect on May 20, 2021.
