The leader of Cyprus spoke at the ceremony of presenting credentials to foreign ambassadors. In his speech, he warmly welcomed the diplomats, wishing them success in their missions and expressing hope for their significant contributions to the development of bilateral and multilateral relations.
Nikos Christodoulides also discussed the prospects of relations with Uzbekistan in his address, emphasizing that Cyprus places great importance on them, particularly in the context of the European Union.
It is noteworthy that diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Cyprus were established on May 30, 1997. Abat Faizullaev became the first Uzbek ambassador accredited to the republic.
