In 2024, Uzbekistan experienced a decline in the production of gas, oil, and gasoline.

The Statistics Agency has released a report on industrial production in Uzbekistan for the year 2024.
В 2024 году в Узбекистане наблюдается снижение производства газа, нефти и бензина.

It is noted that over the past year, the volume of gas production amounted to 44.59 billion cubic meters, which is 2.1 billion cubic meters (4.5%) less compared to the same period in 2023.

Gas production figures for 2024:

  • January — 3.99 billion cubic meters (in 2023 — 4.31 billion cubic meters)
  • February — 3.71 billion cubic meters (3.85 billion cubic meters)
  • March — 3.89 billion cubic meters (4.16 billion cubic meters)
  • April — 3.7 billion cubic meters (3.94 billion cubic meters)
  • May — 3.52 billion cubic meters (3.6 billion cubic meters)
  • June — 3.54 billion cubic meters (3.7 billion cubic meters)
  • July — 3.78 billion cubic meters (3.9 billion cubic meters)
  • August — 3.78 billion cubic meters (3.9 billion cubic meters)
  • September — 3.55 billion cubic meters (3.7 billion cubic meters)
  • October — 3.6 billion cubic meters (3.78 billion cubic meters)
  • November — 3.67 billion cubic meters (3.79 billion cubic meters)
  • December — 3.8 billion cubic meters (3.92 billion cubic meters)

For reference: in 2022, gas production decreased from 53.8 billion to 51.67 billion cubic meters (by 4%), and in 2023 — from 51.67 billion to 46.71 billion cubic meters (by 9.6%).

Dynamics of natural gas production from 2018 to 2024:

  • 2018 — 61.59 billion cubic meters
  • 2019 — 60.71 billion cubic meters
  • 2020 — 49.77 billion cubic meters
  • 2021 — 53.8 billion cubic meters
  • 2022 — 51.67 billion cubic meters
  • 2023 — 46.71 billion cubic meters
  • 2024 — 44.59 billion cubic meters

Thus, over the past seven years, gas production has decreased by almost 28% (approximately 17 billion cubic meters).

In 2024, coal production reached 7 million 166 thousand tons, which is 26.2% more compared to 2023.

The volume of oil production decreased from 779 thousand tons to 713 thousand tons (–8.5%), while the production of gas condensate increased from 1 million 198 thousand tons to 1 million 214 thousand tons.

Electricity production grew by 4.6% compared to 2023 : from 77.67 billion kWh to 81.28 billion kWh. Despite the overall increase, the volume of electricity generated by large enterprises decreased by 8%.

During the reporting period, diesel fuel production decreased from 1 million 12 thousand tons to 949 thousand tons, while gasoline production fell from 1 million 333 thousand tons to 1 million 282 thousand tons.

In 2024, Uzbekistan produced 399,327 vehicles, which is 3,603 more compared to 2023.
