According to the provided data , this year aims to create job opportunities for 5.2 million people, lift 1.5 million out of poverty, attract $42 billion in foreign investments, and increase exports to over $30 billion. Reports on the initiated work and initial results were presented at the meeting.

It was noted that in January, 277 thousand citizens found employment, with 91 thousand securing permanent positions and 153 thousand engaging in entrepreneurial activities.

New approaches are being implemented across 32 areas to reduce poverty. Recently, teams of specialists from ministries and local administrations visited China to exchange experiences. Now, local opportunities will be explained to the population to assist them in generating income.

Job creation is directly linked to investments. This year, it is planned to implement 8 thousand projects worth approximately $14 billion, which will result in the creation of 272 thousand permanent jobs.

Preliminary data indicates that last month, Uzbekistan received foreign investments amounting to $3 billion. In February, a similar volume of investments is expected, along with the launch of 623 projects. The meeting emphasized the necessity for targeted work on projects and a significant increase in pace.

Since the beginning of the year, export volume has reached $1.3 billion. Responsible officials have been tasked with establishing cooperation with foreign partners, supporting entrepreneurs to access external markets, and involving new enterprises in export activities.
