Couples residing in Asaka have fallen victim to carbon monoxide poisoning. This information is reported by the press service of the local hokimiat.
According to available data, the incident occurred on December 7 at approximately 9:20 AM. The bodies of 38-year-old M.A. and his 37-year-old wife M.A. were found in their home located in the "Uchtush" mahalla of the Asaka district, showing signs of carbon monoxide poisoning. The gas was released from coal loaded into a homemade heating stove.
The scene was examined by members of the investigative operational group, and a forensic medical examination has been appointed to determine the cause of death of the individuals.
Currently, the Asaka district prosecutor's office is conducting a pre-investigation check.
Previously, it was reported that in Namangan, a father and his two children, and in Bukhara, a mother and son died from carbon monoxide poisoning. Since the beginning of the year (as of November 27), there have been 74 gas-related accidents in Uzbekistan, resulting in 82 fatalities and 80 injuries.
