Cogeneration units will be launched in four districts of Tashkent.

In four districts of Tashkent, a project is set to be implemented for the launch of cogeneration plants that will produce both thermal and electrical energy.

Research will be conducted for the implementation of the project, as well as negotiations with investors. Based on the results, relevant agreements will be concluded. A draft government resolution will be developed for the realization of the project and submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers.

Furthermore, it is planned to commission new hydropower plants with a capacity of 3.3 GW between 2025 and 2028.

In Tashkent, Kashkadarya, Namangan, Surkhandarya, and Andijan, hydropower plants with a total capacity of 128 MW will be completed and connected to the grid.

Cogeneration plants are systems that simultaneously produce electrical and thermal energy from the same fuel source.
