Uzbekistan will experience a decrease in pressure within its main gas pipelines.

It is noted that due to the ongoing emergency repair work on the gas pipelines being carried out by UzGasTrade JSC, a warning has been issued regarding a reduction in pressure in the main gas pipelines.

In this regard, considering the priority task of ensuring natural gas supply to households and social infrastructure facilities, restrictions have been implemented for a number of wholesale consumers as of February 3.

"Currently, the emergency situation has been resolved, and gas supply is gradually being restored," the statement says.

For reference: UzGasTrade is the sole state operator for the procurement of natural gas in Uzbekistan. The company centrally purchases gas from domestic producers at prices approved by the Interagency Tariff Commission, as well as imports it from external sources.
