Artist Matyakub Matchonov has been held accountable for insulting an acquaintance.

Uzbekistan's honored artist, Matyakub Matchonov, has been fined for insulting a citizen within the premises of the Cinematography Agency. This information was reported by the press service of the Supreme Court, according to Kun.uz.
Артист Матякуб Матчонов был привлечен к ответственности за оскорбление своего знакомого.

A conflict arose between Matchonov and E. Yoldoshev due to the latter being denied entry to an event, as he could disrupt its proceedings. As a result, the actor publicly insulted Yoldoshev, deliberately degrading his honor and dignity.

According to Matchonov, he has known Yoldoshev for a long time, who previously filed a complaint with the Cinematography Agency. In the complaint, Yoldoshev claimed that Matchonov, as a member of the Artistic Council, played roles in films produced under state orders, which he believed constituted a conflict of interest.

E. Yoldoshev arrived at the Cinematography Agency on January 15, but security did not allow him to enter, leading to the dispute. Matchonov intervened in the situation, attempted to speak with Yoldoshev, and then insulted him.

During the court session, the victim E. Yoldoshev stated that he approached the General Prosecutor's Office to investigate the financial activities of the Cinematography Agency. He arrived at the agency to ensure the transparency of the inspection but was stopped by security.

The victim recorded the conversation with Matchonov on his phone's voice recorder and submitted the recording to the law enforcement authorities.

The Chilanzar District Criminal Court of Tashkent found Matchonov guilty of an administrative offense under Article 41 of the Administrative Responsibility Code (insult) on January 22, imposing a fine of three basic calculation amounts (1.1 million sums).
