A citizen attempted to smuggle 2,800 bullets into the country using a vehicle.

At the "Gishtkuprik" customs post, a private vehicle was inspected while crossing the border into Uzbekistan.

According to the Customs Office of the Tashkent Region , during the inspection, 16 packages containing 2,800 rounds of 5.5 mm caliber ammunition for air guns were found in the trunk of the vehicle. These ammunition items were not listed in the passenger customs declaration and were not reported verbally.

An investigation is underway regarding this incident.
