The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, extended his condolences to the President of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, regarding the loss of life caused by the terrorist attack in Magdeburg, Germany.

"President Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed his condolences to German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier regarding the victims and those affected by the tragedy in the city of Magdeburg. The head of our state conveyed heartfelt sympathy and support to the families and loved ones of the deceased, as well as wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured,” – is stated in the statement from Mirziyoyev's press service.

At the Christmas market in Magdeburg, a BMW vehicle drove into a crowd of people. As a result of the incident, at least four individuals were killed, including a child, and 205 people sustained injuries. The police are treating the event as a terrorist attack, and the suspected driver has been detained.
