As reported by the regional bureau of the Tasnim news agency, an Uzbek economic delegation, during its visit to Kabul and meeting with representatives from the Taliban government’s Ministry of Industry and Trade, announced that Uzbekistan is ready to import coal from Afghanistan to balance trade between the two nations.
During this visit, trade contracts worth $4.5 million were signed between private companies from both countries.
The meeting proposed organizing joint trade exhibitions and holding up to five exhibitions of local goods and products from both countries annually at the International Trade Center in Termez.
The parties also discussed various issues, including finalizing the preferential trade agreement, establishing and developing a cement plant in Samangan province, and opening trading houses in both countries.
