In Kashkadarya, the school principal instructed teachers to collect funds for student uniforms.

The Department of Preschool and School Education of the Kashkadarya Region reported that measures have been taken against the director who instructed to collect money for uniforms.

A video surfaced on social media showing the director of School No. 23 in the city of Karshi, F.Sh., announcing a fundraising campaign for student uniforms. In her address to the teachers, she demanded to collect 70,000 sums each and stated that students without uniforms would not be allowed on school grounds.

The incident was investigated by responsible staff of the department. It was found that on January 21, 2025, Director F.Sh. indeed gave instructions through a Telegram group for all students to purchase "jackets."

As a result, a disciplinary sanction in the form of a 25% fine of the average monthly salary was imposed on the director based on the relevant order from the department head dated January 22, 2025. The school staff was informed about the inadmissibility of such cases, and the class teachers wrote explanatory notes.

"Collecting funds for the mandatory purchase of uniforms for students is strictly prohibited. We strongly condemn such negative phenomena," the department stated.

Recall that in August, the head of the Department of Preschool and School Education, Azamat Kamolov, stated that there would be no mandatory uniforms for schoolchildren in the 2024/2025 academic year. Each school selects its own uniform, but there is no strict requirement for all students to wear the same uniform.
