The incident occurred on February 1 in the Yangikhayot district of the capital. A 47-year-old man told his wife that he wanted to sell their house to fund his drug trafficking. The woman disagreed, explaining that they would not be able to find new housing with two children. In a fit of rage, the man stabbed his wife 20 times.
"Previously, he sold our car for drugs, and now he wanted to sell the house too, but where can I go with two children?" – the victim recounted.
The woman sustained multiple injuries and lost a significant amount of blood. She was urgently hospitalized and is currently under medical supervision.
The district prosecutor's office has initiated a criminal case under Article 97 (attempted murder) of the Criminal Code. The accused has been detained in accordance with legal procedures, and investigative actions are underway.
