In the Tashkent region, instances of illegal extraction of natural sand and gravel from the Chirchik Riverbed have been identified in significant quantities. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Ecology.

In particular, citizen A.K. engaged in illegal extraction using a Volvo excavator and transported the extracted material using a HOWO-2 truck to the crushing plant of the company "S.Q.M.".
His actions violated the requirements of the Law "On Nature Protection" and the Law "On Subsoil Resources".
"State inspectors placed the vehicles in a detention lot until the situation is clarified. The damage caused to nature amounted to 674.4 billion sums," - says the statement.
The documents collected for the case have been sent to the Prosecutor General's Office for necessary legal actions.
