An international competition for young mathematicians is being held across the Republic — the "Tashkent International Mathematics Olympiad" (TasIMO-II).

The Olympiad will take place in three stages:

1st stage — December 14-15, 2024 (online);

2nd stage — February 22-23, 2025 (offline);

3rd stage — May 18-20, 2025 (offline).

The Olympiad is organized to fulfill the objectives outlined in the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated September 11, 2023, No. UP-158 on the strategy “Uzbekistan – 2030” and in the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 7, 2020, No. PP-4708 “On measures to improve the quality of education in mathematics and the development of scientific research.”

Awards

Total prize fund – 450 million sums.

In the third stage of the Olympiad, cash prizes will be awarded to the winners of the first group of students (grades 3-9) and their mentors as follows:

For first place — twenty times the base calculation amount of 6,800,000 sums (UZS);

For second place — sixteen times the base calculation amount of 5,440,000 sums (UZS);

For third place — twelve times the base calculation amount of 4,080,000 sums (UZS);

Winners of the second group (grades 10-11) will receive a prize fund of 15,000 US dollars (equivalent to 187,500,000 sums).

Students in grades 10-11 who earn gold, silver, and bronze medals in the third stage of the Olympiad will receive certificates granting a 100% scholarship for admission to the Nordic University for a period of three years.
