"I searched for the owner all night," said the sergeant as he returned the wallet filled with dollars to the elderly woman.

What would you do if you discovered a wallet full of dollars, but couldn't find its owner nearby? In Tashkent, Sergeant Shavkat Nazarov of the patrol service found himself in such a situation. Here’s how he recounted the incident.
«Я всю ночь искал владельца», — сказал сержант, возвращая пожилой женщине кошелек с деньгами.

The incident occurred on January 3rd. Shavkat Nazarov was performing his official duties in one of the shopping complexes in the capital. His attention was drawn to an old wallet lying on the ground.

"I picked up the wallet, opened it, and saw a pension certificate, dollars, and Uzbek sums. I didn't count the money because my only thought was to return it to its owner," shared Sergeant Nazarov.

Until 10:00 PM, while waiting for someone to come for the lost wallet, no one appeared. After his shift ended, he began searching for the owner on his own.

"At first, I called the phone number listed in the document, but no one answered. Then I went to the address provided in the pension certificate. However, it turned out that the person I was looking for had long moved away," Nazarov recounts.

Later, he called the same number again, and this time the wallet's owner answered. "At first, the grandmother didn't believe me, but then she gave me her address, and I took the wallet to her. I recorded the video that spread on social media just in case for myself. The grandmother, overjoyed, offered me a reward, but I declined," noted the sergeant.

On January 4th, the woman specifically sought out Sergeant Nazarov and came to the station to thank him. She invited him and his family to dinner.
