In particular, they discussed the establishment of a special economic zone for Japanese investors, the opening of a Japanese university, and partnership in the field of vocational education.

During the meeting, it was noted that the current portfolio of joint projects in the areas of energy, transportation, agriculture, water management, healthcare, education, and other sectors exceeds $8 billion. Last year, a three-year cooperation program was adopted.
Furthermore, there are currently operating the Uzbek-Japanese Human Resource Development Center and the Youth Innovation Center in the country. Through the agency, over 2,500 Uzbek specialists have completed courses and internships in Japan. Volunteers from this country contribute to the implementation of important social and humanitarian projects in Uzbekistan.
