Uzbekistan's new ambassadors presented their credentials to the presidents of the Czech Republic and Slovenia.

Tashkent, Uzbekistan – According to AN Podrobno.uz, the newly appointed ambassadors of Uzbekistan, Dilshod Akhatov and Oibek Shahavdinov, presented their credentials to the Presidents of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, and Slovenia, Nataša Pirc Musar, as reported by a Podrobno.uz correspondent.

As reported by "Dunyo", Dilshod Akhatov, appointed as the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the Czech Republic with residence in Berlin, presented his credentials to the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel. During the meeting at the official presidential residence "Prague Castle", Petr Pavel emphasized that Uzbekistan is one of the key partners of the Czech Republic on the international stage. The head of state highlighted that the official Prague is interested in further strengthening and developing mutual cooperation with Tashkent.

The Czech leader paid special attention to enhancing relations with Uzbekistan in multilateral formats, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in various fields, including transportation, machine engineering, energy, and medicine. In particular, he noted that cooperation aimed at increasing interdependence in the transportation sector under the European Union's "Global Gateway" strategy will contribute to the development of interregional economic ties.

The first Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Slovenia, Oibek Shahavdinov, also presented his credentials to the country's president, Nataša Pirc Musar, on December 14.

Following the official ceremony, a discussion took place where the parties explored the prospects for developing bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Slovenia.

The main focus of the discussions was on strengthening trade, economic, and investment cooperation. They also discussed a schedule of bilateral events at various levels aimed at enhancing interaction in political, economic, and cultural spheres. Both sides expressed their willingness to further develop relations and implement joint projects.

It is worth noting that Oibek Shahavdinov is also the first Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Hungary with residence in Budapest, and concurrently serves in Croatia, Montenegro, and Slovenia.
