The first ambassador of Malta presented his credentials to the head of Uzbekistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to the statement from the Foreign Minister, the meeting also addressed issues related to further cooperation – strengthening the legal foundation of bilateral relations, establishing parliamentary friendship groups, enhancing economic collaboration, promoting tourism, advancing education, and other initiatives.

Additionally, the parties signed an agreement on mutual exemption from visa requirements for holders of diplomatic passports.
