The President has appointed Erkinjon Turdimov as the acting governor of Syrdarya.
Uzbekistan, Tashkent – Podrobno.uz. Erkinjon Turdimov has been appointed as the acting governor of the Syrdarya region. Prior to this role, he led the Samarkand region until November of last year.

The corresponding decree was signed by the president of Uzbekistan.
It is worth noting that in November of last year, after the parliamentary elections, Turdimov was re-elected as the head of the Samarkand region administration, a position he has held since 2018. However, shortly thereafter, he was relieved of his duties due to a transition to another job. In his new role, he will succeed Akmaljon Mahmudaliev, who was dismissed for various shortcomings.
