The President of Tatarstan has arrived in Uzbekistan for a working visit.

Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to AN Podrobno.uz. On December 17th, the President of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, arrived in Uzbekistan for a working visit. He inspected the progress of the industrial park construction in Bukhara and held a meeting with the regional governor, as reported by a correspondent from Podrobno.uz.

Rustam Minnikhanov, together with the governor of the Bukhara region, Botir Zaripov, visited the construction site of the special industrial park "Bukhara Industrial Development Complex". It is noteworthy that specialists from Uzbekistan are being advised by their colleagues from Tatarstan in the establishment of the industrial park.

Currently, the construction of two production buildings with a total area of 93,000 square meters is underway on the future industrial park's territory. The planned commissioning date is the second quarter of 2025. Next year, the industrial park is set to launch the production of polymer pipes and PET fibers.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to the development of the industrial park, including the preparation of qualified specialists for it.

The head of Tatarstan also highly appreciated the opportunities to strengthen mutual partnership between the regions within the framework of friendly Russian-Uzbek relations.

He noted that cooperation with Uzbekistan is actively developing, trade and economic ties are being strengthened, and mutual visits are taking place. In particular, the President of Uzbekistan has already visited Kazan twice this year.

In conclusion of the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that the leaders of our countries pay special attention to the implementation of new projects in the Bukhara and Navoi regions.

"These significant joint projects are a valuable contribution to strengthening the partnership between our countries. We must implement them at the highest level in the interests of interstate cooperation," Minnikhanov added.

It is worth noting that in March of this year, Rustam Minnikhanov already visited Uzbekistan on a working trip.
