Senator Shavkat Ayupov has been appointed as the head of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan.
Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to AN Podrobno.uz, Senator of the Oliy Majlis and Hero of Uzbekistan Shavkat Ayupov has been appointed as the president of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan.

He was elected today, December 16, at the organizational meeting in the academy.
Ayupov is 72 years old and holds a Doctorate in Physical and Mathematical Sciences. He was awarded the title of Hero of Uzbekistan in 2021.
We recall that the former head of the Academy of Sciences, Behzod Yuldashev, passed away in August at the age of 79.
