Ulugbek Mustafayev has been appointed to serve as the acting head of the Jizzakh region.

Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to AN Podrobno.uz, Ulgubek Mustafaev, the former head of "Regional Electric Networks," has been appointed as the acting governor of the Jizzakh region. The previous head of the region, Ergash Saliev, has taken on a new position.

The corresponding decrees were signed by the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Ergash Saliev has led the region since 2017. Following the parliamentary elections held in October, he was re-elected as the khokim.

The new head of the region, Ulugbek Mustafaev, is 56 years old. A graduate of the Tashkent Institute of National Economy, he has served as the head of the companies "Uzbekenergo" and "Regional Electric Networks."
