Uzbekistan and Jordan have signed an agreement to establish a visa-free regime for holders of diplomatic passports.

Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to AN Podrobno.uz, a meeting took place in the Jordanian capital of Amman between Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov and Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Minister of Expatriates Ayman Safadi. Following the negotiations, the two parties signed an intergovernmental agreement to establish a visa-free regime for holders of diplomatic passports, as reported by a correspondent from Podrobno.uz.

The heads of the foreign ministries of both countries also signed a Cooperation Program between the ministries of foreign affairs for the years 2025-2027.

"In order to further strengthen our partnership, Ayman Safadi and I signed two important documents," Bahtiyor Saidov reported on his Telegram channel.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed enhancing bilateral relations, developing economic cooperation, increasing tourist flows, and improving connectivity between the countries.

It is worth noting that earlier, Uzbekistan and Malta agreed on mutual exemption from visa requirements for holders of diplomatic passports.
