Uzbekistan and Malaysia have agreed to collaborate in the fields of education, healthcare, and smart cities.

Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to AN Podrobno.uz. During the official visit of Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Malaysia, discussions took place with the country's Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. As a result of these talks, a Joint Statement was signed to enhance bilateral cooperation aimed at establishing a strategic partnership, reports Podrobno.uz correspondent.

Furthermore, the parties have concluded a series of agreements in key areas, including:

  • collaboration in assessing product compliance with halal standards;

  • cooperation and mutual assistance in customs matters;

  • development of higher education, healthcare, and culture;

  • partnership in forensic activities;

  • academic-diplomatic cooperation;

  • development of "smart" cities;

  • joint measures to combat corruption for the years 2025–2026.
