As part of the adopted decision, the parties set a goal to increase mutual trade tenfold, aiming to raise investment volumes to $50 billion by 2030. This will be facilitated by the rapid growth of trade turnover observed in recent years, an increase in the number of joint ventures, the launch of direct flights, and the introduction of a visa-free regime between the countries.
The leaders identified six key areas for a new model of economic cooperation: artificial intelligence, digitalization, green energy, infrastructure, tourism, and support for private businesses. Separate working groups will be established for each of these areas.
During the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to the UAE, a portfolio of new projects involving leading Emirati companies was formed, with a priority on high-tech industries. Both sides agreed to enhance dialogue between their foreign policy agencies to further strengthen their partnership.
Cultural and humanitarian ties were also discussed. The President of Uzbekistan proposed to develop a joint program for training personnel and conducting scientific research in the field of artificial intelligence in collaboration with the Mohammed bin Zayed University.
The leaders of the two countries agreed to prepare for the upcoming "Central Asia – Gulf Cooperation Council" summit, which will take place this year in Samarkand. Additionally, they exchanged views on pressing international issues, reaffirming their mutual commitment to strengthening regional and global cooperation.
It is worth noting that during his visit to Abu Dhabi, Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with delegations from leading companies in the United Arab Emirates.
