This was reported to the president today.
It was noted that in recent years, the activities of the Audit Chamber have undergone significant changes. An outdated inspection system has been replaced by an auditing system based on international standards. As a result, Uzbekistan has improved its rating to "good" in the World Bank's "External Audit Indicator." As part of the agency's digital transformation, an automated information system called "Remote Audit" has been implemented, integrating 34 ministries and departments.
In 2024, the Audit Chamber accomplished the following:
generated additional budget revenues amounting to 3.7 trillion sums from new sources;
optimized ineffective spending of ministries and departments by 9.2 trillion sums;
prevented financial discrepancies totaling 2.3 trillion sums;
identified and rectified deficiencies in public procurement amounting to 4.5 trillion sums.
This year, the agency will ensure the completeness of revenue collections of 309 trillion sums into the budget and will also begin conducting audits of projects financed by international financial institutions according to international standards.
