The agenda included issues related to the further expansion of multilateral trade and economic cooperation, support for industrial cooperation projects, and the implementation of joint programs in priority areas of interaction.
At the beginning of his speech, the President of Uzbekistan noted that in recent years, our country has established fruitful cooperation with the EAEU across 22 areas. In 2024, trade turnover with the member states of the union increased by 11%.
He specifically highlighted the priorities for mutually beneficial cooperation. Mirziyoyev stated that the republic is ready to hold consultations soon on aligning technical regulation systems with the adoption of a practical action plan.
The leader of Uzbekistan advocated for our country's participation in the Agreement on a Unified Customs Transit System, which will be signed as a result of the event, as well as for the prompt implementation of electronic data exchange regarding goods and vehicles crossing customs borders.
He also expressed interest in connecting to mechanisms and tools that support industrial cooperation and localization programs.
"To establish reliable financial sources for promoting joint projects, we plan to complete the procedures and join the Eurasian Development Bank at the beginning of next year," the president noted.
To more actively involve businesses and create favorable conditions for strengthening business ties, it was proposed to hold a meeting of the EAEU Business Council in Tashkent in April 2025.
The Head of Uzbekistan also mentioned that our country is ready to connect to the Integrated Information System of the EAEU and the "Digital Union" project.
In the field of agriculture, it was suggested to prepare a cooperation program aimed at facilitating mutual access to agricultural products, implementing innovative agro-industrial projects, and introducing scientific developments.
To stimulate tourism exchanges, the head of state noted that Uzbekistan is ready to implement a procedure allowing citizens of EAEU states to enter the republic using internal documents.
