The medal was won by 19-year-old Alisher Ganiev, who faced off against Russian athlete Dinislam Bammatov, competing under a neutral flag, in the final.
After a fiercely contested match, our compatriot triumphed with a score of 8:4, becoming the world champion in the 60 kg weight category.
It is reported that Uzbekistan previously had no medalists in the youth World Championships for this sport.
