Crash tests of the Chery Tiggo 9 were conducted during the Chery 2024 International Summit.

On October 20, the "Tiggo 9 Ultimate Safety Exploration Tour" took place at Chery's headquarters in Wuhu, China. The event was attended by international company employees, dealers, representatives from leading media outlets, global KOCs, and Chery's official distributor in Uzbekistan, ADM Global. Guests witnessed impressive results of the Tiggo 9 in battery waterproofing tests, body sealing, and collision safety. All metrics significantly exceeded industry standards.

In his opening speech, Chery's brand CEO and Vice President of Chery International, Zhu Shaodong, stated: "Safety is a core value for Chery. We understand that it is a priority for everyone. During the waterproofing test, engineers simulated extreme conditions: the Tiggo 9 battery was submerged in deep water for 48 hours. Key indicators such as sealing and electrical insulation were streamed live on a large screen. The results confirmed the high waterproofing capabilities of the Tiggo 9 battery, which far surpassed industry standards, demonstrating its reliability and safety in extreme conditions.

Additionally, a simulation of high-speed movement through water was conducted. The Tiggo 9 was placed in deep water to assess its sealing during motion. Guests could observe the car's interior through viewing windows, and the test confirmed excellent body sealing: no signs of water ingress were found, and the electronic and power systems functioned flawlessly.

The highlight of the event was a collision test simulating a partial frontal crash between two vehicles. Attendees held their breath at the sound of the impact and the ensuing smoke, but the results impressed everyone: the passenger compartment structure remained intact, preserving the necessary survival space. The A, B, and C pillars withstood the impact without deformation, the retention system performed flawlessly, the seatbelts activated on time, and the side and frontal airbags deployed, providing comprehensive passenger protection.

The high-voltage system automatically shut down immediately after the accident: the battery did not shift, leak, smoke, or ignite, ensuring passenger safety. The fuel system also remained sealed, preventing the risk of fire. Emergency systems were activated: hazard lights turned on, the E-CALL system automatically summoned emergency assistance, doors unlocked, and handles opened, facilitating rescue operations.

At the event, Chery also showcased other key safety features of the Tiggo 9, such as its high-strength body structure, dual protective beams, and 85% side protection, significantly enhancing vehicle safety and providing peace of mind to the driver.

After the tests, media representatives and experts highly praised the safety of the Tiggo 9, noting its outstanding performance. "The safety of the Tiggo 9 is impressive: the waterproofing capabilities of the battery and body sealing have reached a leading level in the industry," said media representatives. One KOC from the Middle East added, "The safety of the Tiggo 9 truly inspires confidence, providing drivers with reliable protection."
