Pedro Moreira from Portugal has taken the helm of the capital's FC Pakhtakor.

The chairman of the club, Jahongir Artykhodjaev, has tasked the new coach with winning the championship title.

Today, December 4, a press conference was held at the Hilton hotel in Tashkent featuring the management of the football club "Pakhtakor" and media representatives.
The event was attended by the club chairman Jahongir Artykhojaev and the new head coach from Portugal, Pedro Moreira.
According to the chairman, the former head coach Maxim Shatskikh has been relieved of his position but will continue to work with the club as an advisor.
Additionally, it was announced that a one-year contract was signed with Pedro Moreira, with the possibility of a one-year extension. His goal is to win the championship title.
“I would like to thank the previous coach for his work. I know this season has been challenging. I will try to bring a new style and ideas to Pakhtakor. I liked the project proposed by the club,” said Pedro Moreira.
The club chairman also spoke about the reconstruction of the Pakhtakor stadium.
“In the spring, we will begin the reconstruction of the stadium to meet FIFA standards. After that, we will be able to host home games at the updated venue. I want to clarify that the reconstruction starts now. We have also signed a five-year contract with Turkish agronomists for the maintenance of the stadium's grass. We will not have any issues in this regard in the coming years,” noted Jahongir Artykhojaev.
It is worth mentioning that Pedro Moreira has worked with several football teams, including Roma, Shakhtar, Braga, and others.
