Tashkent will host the World Fencing Championships for adults.

The latest Congress of the International Fencing Federation took place in Tashkent, during which the host city for the World Championship for adults was announced. This was reported by the NOC press service.

It was revealed at the event that Tashkent will host the 2027 World Championship. According to the plan, the competitions will be held from July 20 to 28.

During the event, there was also an awards ceremony dedicated to the year's achievements. The award was given to the representative of the Uzbekistan saber team, Fernanda Herrera, who finished the year as the leader in the youth world rankings.

As a reminder, on November 30, following the congress, Russian businessman of Uzbek origin Alisher Usmanov was re-elected as the head of the organization.
