Analyst John Prosser reported on his YouTube channel that Apple is preparing a significant design update for iOS 19, making it similar to visionOS. Among the new features, he highlighted semi-transparent widgets and round icons reminiscent of Android elements. Prosser also showcased renders of the updated camera app and home screen.
However, these rumors should be taken with caution. Prosser is known not to be the most reliable insider, and the images presented are not leaks but reconstructions with some modifications. The analyst even admitted that he had to come up with some interface details on his own. It is also unclear whether this was the final look of the system or just one of the prototypes.
The presentation of iOS 19 is expected at the next WWDC, but the release of the new version may be delayed due to the development of Apple Intelligence—a feature announced last year.
