Qualcomm has announced that the first wireless headphones utilizing XPAN technology will soon hit the market. Developed two years ago, this technology allows for signal transmission over Wi-Fi, with the option to switch to Bluetooth when needed.
XPAN delivers 24-bit audio at a sampling rate of 96 kHz, maintaining lossless quality while optimizing power consumption. Additionally, the technology reduces latency, making it particularly advantageous for gamers.
However, only Android device owners with Snapdragon processors will be able to take advantage of this innovation. Qualcomm has not yet disclosed the exact release date for the first headphones but indicated that it will happen in the near future.
